| Abstract: | This paper serves as a theoretical summary for basic concepts and alternative approaches to the empirical measurement of technical efficiency.The efficiency analysis is adopted to evaluate technical efficiency of China's industries.The VRS overall technical efficiency of industry may be decomposed into pure efficiency and scale efficiency.By calculating the technical efficiency of 29 provinces' tobacco enterprises in China,it is found that the low pure efficiency is the key factor that results in the low overall technical efficiency of tobacco industries in China. |
