Study of a Waveguide CO2Laser with Two Parallel Tubes
Abstract:A new type of the waveguide CO2 laser structure with two parallel tubes is presented. The two cylindrical waveguide tubes are made of hard glass with the length of 190 mm, and the length of resonant cavity is 200 mm. An electrode structure with single cathode and double anode is used. This device is excited by D.C. longitudinal discharge. The output power of 11.2 W and the total efficiency of 10.4% are obtained at wavelength 10.6 μm, respectively, when the pressure of gas mix is 12.66 kPa resulting in an operating current of 9 mA.
