| Abstract: | A new Zn alkoxide catalyst supported by an N-heterocyclic carbene rapidly polymerizes D,L-lactide (D,L-LA) to heterotactic enriched poly(lactide)(PLA), while the free carbene and analogs instead yield highly isotactic enriched PLA. |
