Blow‐up rate estimates for a parabolic system with multiple nonlinearities

Abstract:In this paper, we study the blow‐up behaviors for the solutions of parabolic systems utu+δ1eurn:x-wiley:01704214:media:MMA1184:tex2gif-sup-1, vtv+µ1uurn:x-wiley:01704214:media:MMA1184:tex2gif-sup-2 in ?urn:x-wiley:01704214:media:MMA1184:tex2gif-stack-1×(0, T) with nonlinear boundary conditions equation image Here δi?0, µj?0, pi?0, qj?0 and at least one of δiµjpiqj>0(i, j=1, 2). We prove that the solutions will blow up in finite time for suitable ‘large’ initial values. The exact blow‐up rates are also obtained. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
