| Abstract: | The synthesis of alkyl thiocyanates by the reaction of thiols with cyanogen chloride has been known,1 although it is generally supersede by the more convenient displacement of alkyl halides with alkali thio-cyanates.2 We wish to describe the behavior of sodium thiolates toward cyanogen bromide. |
