| Abstract: | Let A be a symmetrizable generalized Cartan matrix, g( A) the Kac-Moody algebra associated with A, h a Cartan subalgebra of g( A). In this paper, we discuss certain groups of automorphisms of g( A) . Especially, when A is of affine type, the group of automorphisms which left h invariant is completely determined. |
