| Abstract: | A new bile pigment of 1,19,22,24 tetrahydro 2,3,7,8,12,13,17,18 octamethyl 10 (4 sulfonato phenyl) 1,19 dioxo 21H biline was synthesized and confirmed by IR, 1H NMR, 13 C NMR, and MS. Its complex with Zn 2+ was studied using absorption spectra which indicated that the complex contains two zinc ions and one biliverdin. |
