Dispersion of light and EDGE absorption of thin Y2O3 films

We measured the dispersion of light in thin Y₂O₃ films in the visible and near UV regions of the spectrum. The spectrum of edge absorption is investigated. We found the parameters of a single-oscillator approximation and determined the dispersion energy and the ionicity of bonding. I.
