Growth-induced site preferences in rare earth garnets |

| Abstract: | A recent ECR experiment has provided experimental verification of the theoretically-predicted growth-induced non-random distribution of rare earth ions in flux-grown garnets. We show that the observed site preferences are in good agreement with the predictions of the site models proposed for the magnetically noncubic garnets. |
