Ferrocenedithiocarboxylic acid and various derivatives have been prepared and characterized. The molecular extinction coefficients for the n → π★ transition of the thiocarbonyl group in the visible spectra of these derivatives are 10–15 fold greater than expected for aromatic dithio acids. |
