Abstract:By theoretical and experimental research, the performances of two types of small steam turbines have been analysed. In consideration of their characteristics of small rate of flow and small specific rotational speed, the petion construction is used. It causes the losses due to partial admission, dash of steam flow and heat flux. Basing on this, a new kind of small steam turbine has been developed. The experimental results show that they conform to the theoretical analysis with higher efficiency and higher internal efficiency.
