| Abstract: | Dynamic stiffness matrices are derived for the in-plane vibration of thick circular rings where the effects of transverse shear and rotatory inertia cannot be neglected. The accuracy of the expressions is demonstrated by comparison of calculated and experimental frequencies for very thick rings of circular and rectangular cross-section. |
