Abstract:
Conductivity measurements on aqueous solutions of sodium hydrogen tartrate and potassium hydrogen tartrate were performed in the temperature range 5–35°C. By including the dissociation equilibria, the experimental conductivities of the acidic salts can be well described using equivalent limiting conductivities of the bitartrate anion lambdainfin(HTar) and the tartrate anion lambdainfin (1/2 Tar2–) when applying the Quint and Viallard equations for unsymmetrical electrolytes.
Keywords:Temperature dependence of conductivity  ion conductivities  aqueous solutions  sodium hydrogen tartrate  potassium hydrogen tartrate
