Abstract: | The effects of an external magnetic field with intensity 9.4 T on the cholesteric phase in ethylcyanoethyl cellulose (E-CE)C]/dichloroacetic acid liquid crystalline solutions were investigated for different concentrations. It was found that the diamagnetic anisotropy of (E-CE)C is negative and the effect of the magnetic field on the orientation of the cholesteric phase is influenced by the concentration of the solution, because the liquid crystalline properties of the solutions vary with the concentration. |
