Abstract: | The numerical simulation of the behaviour of a workpiece during manufacturing depends to a large extent on the quality of the applied material model. In this work, a method for the identification of constitutive models and material parameters in engineering applications is proposed. The presented method is used in the setting of optimal experimental design and is based on successive optimization of a set of finite strain plasticity models with kinematic and/or isotropic hardening.
