| Abstract: | The concept of quasi-adequate transversals is introduced. Some properties and characterizations for abundant semigroups with
a multiplicative quasi-adequate transversal are obtained. In particular, a structure theorem for such abundant semigroups
is given. Finally, some special cases are considered.
