| Abstract: | The reactions between dichloromethylgallane and the silyl sulfides (CH3)3SiSR (R = CH3, C2H5, n-C3H7, i-C3H7, Ph and CH2Ph) in benzene result in the formation of the hitherto unknown, extremely moisture-sensitive chloro(methyl)(organylthio)gallanes. Reactions of these thiogallanes with the donor compounds N(CH3)3 and O(CH3)2 are reported. Spectra as well as some physical and chemical properties of the new compounds are given. |
