Abstract: | The transfer matrix method is introduced into the analysis of ultrasonic flexural solid horns. The frequency and magnification equations of a horn are derived by using the transfer matrix method. Analyzed are the characteristics of three types of circular cross-section horns: exponent, cone, and catenary. The results are partly verified experimently. |
