| Abstract: | A Reformatsky-type addition of ethyl dibromofluoroacetate associated with diethylzinc to various carbonyl compounds is described. Aldehydes, ketones and lactones were converted into the corresponding α-bromo-α-fluoro-β-hydroxyesters in good yields. |
