Abstract: | The decrease in the spin-orbit (SO) interaction with increasing number of chlorine atoms in molecules of dibenzo-p-dioxine derivatives is found and explained. The heavy atom effect on components of the rate constant of phosphorescence k ph=k SO+k VSO related to SO and vibronic-spin-orbit (VSO) interactions is quantitatively estimated. |
