Preferred growth of bismuth single crystals |

| Abstract: | The results of the study of the factors influencing the orientation of the ( 111 ) cleavage plane of bismuth are presented. It has been observed that at high purity the growth rates and temperature gradients do influence the orientation whereas at low purities no such influence is observed. |
