| Abstract: | A review is provided of the current research status of fire prevention and extinguishment techniques against coal spontaneous combustion. The mechanism, fundamental law and indispensible conditions of spontaneous combustion of coal are briefed, while the advantages and disadvantages of various fire-prevention and extinguishment techniques and methods against coal spontaneous combustion are analyzed. Furthermore, current problems of various fire-prevention and extinguishment techniques and methods against coal spontaneous combustion are summarized, and suggestions are given concerning the development trend and future directions of fire-prevention and extinguishment techniques against coal spontaneous combustion. |
