Abstract:A simple,convenient and efficient method for the synthesis of 1,2,4,5-tetrasubstituted imidazole derivatives using benzoin,an aromatic aldehyde,an aromatic amine in the presence of ammonium acetate catalyzed by high surface area SiO_2 and induced by free solar thermal energy was reported.
