Abstract:
Combining a Brewster-plate and a birefringent crystal is one of the best methods to realize single-frequency coherent green light. Based on such an idea, a new method to optimize the output efficiency, which is to slightly tilt the nonlinear crystal is presented. The relationship between the tilting orientation angle β, its corresponding tilting angle α and crystal length d, and the influence upon the output are also analyzed.
