Controlling bifurcations and chaos in discrete small-world networks

Abstract:
We propose an impulsive hybrid control method to control theperiod-doubling bifurcations and stabilize unstable periodic orbitsembedded in a chaotic attractor of a small-world network. Simulationresults show that the bifurcations can be delayed or completelyeliminated. A periodic orbit of the system can be controlled to anydesired periodic orbit by using this method.
