Abstract: | The general formulation of the transient elastodynamic second boundary value problem in an isotropic linear elastic body with a crack of arbitrary shape by combining the boundary integral equation method and the Laplace transform with respect to time is presented in this paper. Both finite and infinite elastic bodies are considered. A numerical solution of the transformed boundary integral equations is proposed. |
