Abstract:	The regioselectivity in reactions of the lithium salt of 4H-cyclopenta[2,1-b:3,4-b']dithiophene with various electrophilic agents [SiMe₃Cl, SnMe₃Cl, D₂O, Re(CO)₅Br] is discussed in terms of the charge and orbital control concepts.
