Chemical Vapor Transport of Intermetallic Systems. 5. Chemical Transport of Ni₃Sn and Ni₃Sn₂ The congruent melting intermetallic compounds. Ni₃Sn and Ni₃Sn₂ can be prepared by CVT-methods using Iodine as transport agent. Thermodynamic calculations allow to understand why Ni₃Sn and Ni₃Sn₂ but not Ni₃Sn₄ can be prepared by this manner. Some general rules concerning CVT of intermetallics are given.
