| Abstract: | The thermal and spectral properties of chelates of lawsone and juglone with divalent copper, zinc, copper, nickel and lead have been investigated. The properties of these chelates are compared with the previously studied polymeric chelates of 2,5-dihydroxy-p-benzoquinone and naphthazarin. Several unsuccessful attempts were made to prepare beryllium chelates of these ligands. |
