Abstract:A self assembled supermolecular film gold electrode has been fabricated from Keggin type phosphormolybdate anions and L cysteine based on the electrostatic attraction between PMo 12 O 3- 40 and surface NH + 3 of L cysteine. Compared with PMo 12 O 3- 40 , the supermolecular film electrode is effective in a wider pH range and shows a good response to H +. The cyclic voltammetry and (ATR)FTIR techniques were used in the electrochemical characterization. The formation of the films and the pH sensor behavior have been discussed. The major properties of the pH film sensor have been demonstrated .
