| Abstract: | Asymmetric induction is observed in the additioin of chlorine to alkenes as well as in the synthesis of 0-acetyl cyanohydrins under phase-transfer conditions using (?)-benzylcinchonidinium chloride and (?)-N-dodecyl-N-methylephedrinium bromide as chiral catalysts. |
