Phytoecdysteroids of plants of the genusSilene XIV. Brahuisterone fromSilene brahuica

A new ecdysteroid with the composition C₂₇H₄₄O₆ which has been called brahuisterone has been isolated from the epigeal part of the plantSilene brahuica Boiss.
