Abstract:	Synthesis of nitrogenated quaternary centered polyhydroxylated aminocyclopentanes by implementation of ketonitrone-olefin cycloaddition reaction as a key step has been accomplished in a stereocontrolled manner. The target molecules were found to be moderate but selective inhibitors of galactosidases.
