| Abstract: | Under appropriate moment conditions,the rate of convergence of the distribution function of a k-sample symmetric statistic to its normal limit is shown to be O(N-1/2), where N is the minimim of the k samples'sizes.This result generalizes and improves many known ones for special cases.A Berry-Esseen bound for generalized U-statistics is also given. |
