| Abstract: | [reaction: see text] Alkylidene or arylidene malonates reacted with arsonium allylides to give trans-disubstituted cyclopropane-1,1-dicarboxylates with high stereoselectivity in high yields. The mechanism of the cyclopropanation reactions has also been investigated. |
