| Abstract: | A combination of the pseudopotential method with thek. p method was used to calculate the complete band structure of AlSb. The pseudopotential form factors were determined by fitting to reliably assigned optical transition energies. Optical critical points and effective masses were evaluated and compared with experimental data so far as possible.This work was performed in the  Arbeitsgemeinschaft AIIIBV-Halbleiter of the Karl-Marx University Leipzig.
