Progress of diorganotin compounds on experimental antitumour activity

Since Crowe reported that some diorganotin compounds have interesting antitumour properties, a wide interest has developed in this field. Many diorganotin derivatives have been prepared and their in vitro or in vivo antitumour activities were tested. This review describes the progress of diorganotin compounds on antitumour activity, covering the structural types of the compounds, the mode of action of diorganotin compounds and the applications of QSAR method of organotin comopunds as potential antitumour agents.
