Abstract: | The coherent scattering of spin-S particles by a monatomic crystal film is considered, with rescattering taken into account. A relation between the amplitudes qj of different diffraction orders and the dielectric tensor ![epsi](/content/v118nj6k1277uv08/xxlarge949.gif) ![beta](/content/v118nj6k1277uv08/xxlarge946.gif) ( ) of the two-dimensional crystal is found. The relation can be used to obtain ![epsi](/content/v118nj6k1277uv08/xxlarge949.gif) ![beta](/content/v118nj6k1277uv08/xxlarge946.gif) ( ) for an arbitrary frequency (including resonant frequencies) in terms of elastic scattering data.
