Numerical solution of free surface,porous flow problems

Abstract:An inexpensive, finite difference numerical method is developed for the approximate solution of general, free surface, porous flow problems. The method is so designed that the required numerical boundary conditions coincide exactly with the required physical boundary conditions. In the present paper, application is made to prototype, steady state, dam flow problems.
