Energy eigenvalues of helium-like atoms in dense plasmas

Abstract:
Calculations based on a variational method with wavefunctions including the correlation of electrons are carried out to obtain the energy eigenvalues of the Schrödinger equation for helium-like atoms embedded in dense plasmas, using the Debye-Hückel approximation. Energy eigenvalues for the 1 1S, 2 1S and 2 3S states are obtained as a function of Debye screening length.
