Abstract: | Experimental tie-line data for two quaternary systems, water + diisopropyl ether + 2,2,4-trimethylpentane + methyl tert-butyl ether or toluene, were investigated at 298.15 K and atmospheric pressure. The experimental liquid–liquid equilibrium
data were correlated using a modified UNIQUAC activity coefficient model with ternary and quaternary parameters, in addition
to the binary ones. The calculated results were further compared with those obtained with an extended UNIQUAC model from Nagata
Fluid Phase Equilib. 54, 191–206 (1990)]. |
