| Abstract: | In this paper, the research history and current status of photorefractive spatial solitons are introduced. The formation prerequisites, physical mechanism and characteristic of different types of photorefractive spatial solitons are explained. The interactions between these solitons are recounted and analyzed. In the end, the potential applications of these solitons are also forecasted. |
