General Mechanism for Chiral Recognition by Native and Modified Cyclodextrins

Abstract:
A general mechanism for chiral recognition by native and modified cyclodextrins hasbeen proposed by reconsidering the data reported so far. Cyclodextrins in aqueoussolution adopt asymmetrically twisted structures, which seems to be the origin of chiralrecognition.
