Abstract: | The effective nuclear forces are obtained by the core polarization renormalization from a realistic local static (Yale) and from a non-local (Tabakin) nucleon-nucleon potential. These forces are applied to the quasiparticle Tamm-Dancoff theory of the spectrum of 116Sn. While the respective bare (unrenormalized) forces lead to different predictions, the renormalized Yale and Tabakin effective forces yield almost identical results. While the second-order core polarization corrections are quite large. the successive inclusion of all the higher-order corrections (iteration) leads to only negligible modifications. |
