Abstract: | Energy transfer between aromatic molecules was observed on a dielectric surface. The donor and acceptor molecules were vacuum deposited as bilayers and the surface temperature was linearly ramped in a temperature programmed desorption experiment (TPD). During the TPD procedure, the luminescence of the surface molecules was monitored as a function of temperature. Close to the desorption temperature of the lower layer, mixing of the layers occurred that resulted in energy transfer. |
