APPROXIMATE TWO-DIMENSIONAL EQUIVALENT CIRCUIT OF A PIEZOELECTRIC CIRCULAR DISK AND ITS APPLICATION TO THE ANALYSIS OF THE TRANSIENT INDUCED VOLTAGE

An approximate-two dimensional equivalent circuit of a piezoelectric circular disk is deducedin which thickness-mode and radial-mode vibrations are excited.This equivalent circuit is used topredict the transient induced voltage of the disk,the effects being examined of the planar piezoelectriccoupling factor of the piezoelectric material,the radial dimension of the disk,the backing and the load.Experimental check is effected for some of the theoretical results.
