Double vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers with transverse mode filtration

Methods for improving radiative characteristics of a double vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser operating in one-and two-frequency regimes have been considered. The influence of the surface relief and conductive properties of the output mirror on the laser mode structure and power has been investigated. In simulation, the effective-frequency method was used to solve the wave equation.
