Abstract:
The effects of edge plasma biasing have been recently investigated by different spectroscopic diagnostics on the CASTOR tokamak. Measurements in visible, VUV and XUV ranges complement the knowledge of processes during a biasing phase, and confirm the occurrence of several types of plasma biasing regimes — so called ldquoradiating regimerdquo, ldquonon-radiating regimerdquo, and ldquoreduced Hagr regimerdquo. The use of edge plasma biasing to study the possibility of Electron Bernstein Wave conversion has been demonstrated.
