Normal coordinate analysis for the IR spectra of thiirene and deuterated thiirenes

Abstract:	Previous band assignments for thiirene-d_O, -d₁ and -d₂ are re-evaluated in the light of new spectroscopic data on cyclopropene. Evidence is presented for the assignment of the 657 cm^?1 absorption to the symmetric ring deformation mode of thürene supporting the assignment of the 910 cm^?1 band to the H-CC bending in-plane mode. Normal coordinate analysis reproduced the observed frequencies.
