| Abstract: | Imine is the most useful dienophile reagent for constructing a large member of six-membered ring compounds containing nitrogen atom by means of Diels-Alder cyclo- addition reaction. The methodology is basically simple to employ and shows good regioselecti- vity and stereoselectivity. Its application in the total synthesis of a lot of alkaloids is sum- merized. |
